Greeting card, Christmas holiday, featuring a small black and white photograph of three children over text "a Joyous Christmas" and, handwritten in blue ink, "The Carpenters". Message handwritten on reverse to Banks E. and Elizabeth Ragan Poston from Lee and Frank Carpenter dated December 1958.
Dear Lib & Banks -
If you didn't see us once in a while, you wouldn't know us. John is 5'9" & wears larger shoes than Frank's. Amy is already acting like a lady.
Here we have been all summer & you never came to see us. By next fall we will have orders to move on. Frank is slated for a "hardship tour" - where we cannot go along. So you must plan to visit us in the spring - or better still, early summer. D. & J. have remodeled the boat & next summer should be wonderful.
No rent, the beach at your door - this is even better than Long Beach. Do come. F. wants to know if Ralph Martin is finished with his watch -
Love to you all - Lee & Frank
