North Carolina / Guilford County / Whereas Elisha Charles Sr. late of said County executed and published his last Will and Testament and as Executer therein Alpheus P Welbern, which said Will and Testament has been duly admitted to Probate and said Executer duly qualified and whereas by the terms of said Will said Executer was directed to sell at public auction certain Real estate, and in pursuance of the same and sell the Real estate herein after ascribed on the 21st day of august 1875 when Julius Brown became the purchaser of the sum of Sixty one Dollars and Sixty one cents. Now therefore this indenture made and entered into this the 27th day of March AD1876 by said Alpheus P. Welbern party of the first part and Julius Brown party of the second party Witnesseth, That the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty one dollars and Sixty one cents Dollars to him in hand paid by the party of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged does hereby give grant bargain sell and convey into the party of the second his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land lying and being in Guilford County adjoining the lands of [blank] and others and bounded as follows to wit - Beginning at a Stake in the middle of the Road, Thence N. 12° E. 36 Poles to a Stake Then North 18° E. 61 1/2 Poles to a wild Cherry Tree, Thence S. 83° E. 37 Poles to a Persimmon Tree, Thence So 15° E. 116 Poles to a Spanish Oak J.
