Summary Deed of sale, stating that Manliff and Paulina E. Jarrell have sold a tract of land in Guilford County to Ezekiel C. Farabee for $75, dated February 26, 1873. The land is described as lot numbers 4 and 5, "fronting two hundred feet on the west side of North Street and two hundred feet back it being the street East of & paralel with the Plank road containing one acre more or less." Deed is a printed form with particulars handwritten in ink.

THIS INDENTURE made this 26 day of February in the YEAR / EIGHTEEN HUNDRED AND seventy three between Manlef Jarrell / And his Wife P E. Jarrell / of the County of Guilford, and State of North Carolina of the one part, / and Ezecal C. Farabee / of the County of Guilford, and State of North Carolina on the other part: / WITNESETH, That the said part of the the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy / Five / Dollars, to the said part of the first part, in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, / has sold and conveyed and do hereby sell and convey to the said part of the second part / his Heirs and Assigns, ALL THAT TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND, lying in the / County of Guilford and State of North Carolina bounded as follows viz: / Two lots in the town of High Point / and known as lots No. 4. &. 5. in the plot / and fronting two hundred feet on the west / side of North Street and two hundred feet back / it being the street East of & paralel with the / Plank road containing one Acre / More or less - / To have and to hold the same with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to / the said part of the second party, Heirs and Assigns forever. And the said part of the first part / for the consideration aforesaid, do hereby covenant and agree to warrant and defend the premises / aforesaid to the said party of the second part, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and / that they are seized of the premises in fee simple, and have power to make and convey / such an Estate by this Indenture, and has done the same by these presents. / IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said part of the first part have hereunto set their hand and / seal, the day and year above written. / SIGNED, SEALED AND DELIVERED IN THE PRESENCE OF Manlef Jarrell / Paulina E. Jarrell / STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Guilford COUNTY. / On this the 26th of February 1873, came personally before me, Abram Clapp / Judge of Probate for said county Manlef Jarrell and his wife Paulina E. Jarrell / and acknowledged the due execution by them of theforegoing Deed, for the purpose therein mentioned, whereupon I proceed to take the exami - / nation of the wife of the said Paulina E. Jarrell separate and apart from her husband, touching her free consent in the / execution of the said Deed, when she declared she had executed the said Deed freely and voluntarily, without any force, fear or undue influence on / the part of her said husband or any other person; that she is satisfied with having signed the said Deed, and now voluntarily assents thereto. / Therefore let the said Deed, together with this Certificate, be registered. / Abram Clapp / Judge of Probate
