Pamphlet, Far Above Rubies, a printed collection of editorials written by Sarah Strother Cecil for the Friends Missionary Advocate between October 1962 and November 1964. Also contains a photograph and brief biography of Cecil written by Ruth Hockett. Subjects of the editorials include Thanksgiving, Christmas, the New Year, faith, children and parenting, Easter, charity, church leadership, Quaker women, brotherhood, grief (in the face of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the murder of Medgar Evers, and the Birmingham church bombing), the religious concept that the body is a temple, the spiritual life, leisure, and Proverbs 31:10-31, which describes an ideal Christian woman. The last two pages reproduce remarks about Cecil given at the Conference of United Society Friends Women in Whittier, California, in 1965, and a short excerpt from Sunshine Magazine.
